RECAP OF 2026 MINI REUNION GATHERING

Hello Classmates,
I hope this Announcement finds you in a good place and still making memories.
Just want to Recap our most recent mini Reunion gathering that took place about 10 days ago at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud on Saturday, September 26. Once again we had a great turnout and were greatly thankful for the evening. The Reunion Committee was very happy with the outcome. There were 38 classmates in attendance, and in addition several spouses and significant others. So much laughing and giggling, large amount of the sharing of our state of being with other classmates, and a large amount of just plain enjoyment as the remininscing took place. It was great.
We are looking forward to the next mini Reunion and also our larger reunion at the 5 and 10 year marks. Put the following dates on your calendar. More details will be shared as we get closer to the dates.

- Saturday September 28, 2030. Oh my our 60th Reunion. Amazing is all that can be said.

Greetings to the CHS Classmates of 1970!!!

**** Yearly Gathering Plans ****
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026
It is time for another ANNOUNCEMENT. Hooray for the 1970 CHS graduates!
We want to refresh your memory and remind you of our yearly gathering that we said we would continue with. The past 2 gatherings have been well received by those in attendance. Only positive comments were shared. Again so much laughter and some moments of quiet too as we conversed with each other. Once again, it will take place at the Legend's Bar and Grill, Holiday Inn, St. Cloud, MN. It will be held on the last Saturday of September, which is the designated date for our class events going forward unless we run into a glitch of some kind. Thus, this year, the date for our Yearly Reunion Gathering will be SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026. Hours are 4:30 PM until we decide to end the evening (8:30, 9:30, 10:30, etc.). We were able to again reserve the room inside of the bar. There will be a balloon of some kind and maybe a few table decorations in blue and gold. It will be a cash bar and an opportunity to order an evening meal or appetizers through the bar if you so desire. It will be a very casual setting for classmates and spouses/significant others to converse, reconnect and remininsce about memories, to make new memories, and to share laughs and tears. Please share the date with other classmates and encourage all to attend. There will not be a postal mailing for this event. So, if you know classmates that don't regularly visit the CHS 1970 website or check emails, please be sure they are informed of this gathering. Also, this announcement could go into peoples Spam folders. So please share the information with others. All are welcome. Let's have another wonderful event. A reminder will be sent again prior to the event.
1st ADDITION: At our last 55th class reunion there were many questions that arose regarding the happenings at Cathedral that were answered by classmates. One question that still went unanswered at the end of the evening was: Who was our Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Names were thrown out, but we were unable to answer honestly. The very educated and high ranking students were Valedictorian - Barbara Jirik and Salutatorian - Carole Mesna. These names were brought up by several, but again no one was certain. Way to go Barb and Carole.
2nd ADDITION: FYI. In case you are no longer living in St. Cloud, it is May 5th, and we have a Freeze Warning this evening. Great place to live!
